Deadly Beauty

Supposedly taken right outside of Sedalia during the deadly storms earlier this month. Wow!

We got deluged with this shot once the tornadoes came thru, (the first round, not the one from LAST night!) and it made it to the KC TV stations, where they took it upon themselves to discredit it, saying that it was actually a phot from an old Weather Service training video. Bill, our PD here, and the guy who covered the storms onthe air that night, noticed that there is a radio tower in the shot, with three red lights...the place where the picture was supposedly taken doesn't have a tower with three reds from that angle, plus the Emergency Management Director had noted that they were having a particularly hard time seeing the tornadoes that night, as the storms were producing no lightning. I HOPE I got all those details right.

So--we think it's "not quite legit," but still an awesome picture, no matter where it came from.
