The Top Ten Science Stories of 2005

In school, I loved science, weather, the solar system, etc. I followed the Gemini and Apollo programs with great interest. Too bad I snoozed through high school or else I could have been an astronaut or an agronomist or a zoologist or a botonist or a scientist or whatever.
Here are the top ten Science Stories of 2005 according to Live Science. Enjoy, all you frustrated chemists

One of this year's most important stories relating to science is the war that has been declared against science by the Bush administration and by the Christian Taliban. From global warming to "intelligent" design, these right-wing wackos have done immeasurable harm to America's efforts to lead the world in innovation and improvement. The next generation of scientists will come from countries like India, Japan, and China. America is losing standing in the world community and becoming a laughing stock thanks to these fanatics and their neo-fascist agenda. But they know that as long as the population is kept ignorant, neo-nazis like Bush and Cheney will keep getting elected. Scientifically speaking, I'd say we're screwed.
