I have counted sheep, taken Melatonin, read, drank warm milk (ew) and I can't sleep. I have exercised until I am blue in the face and it doesn't make me tired. I seem to go through these periods, where no matter what I do, I just.can't.get.to.sleep. If I am a bit cranky, I hope you will understand. Any ideas?
I will NOT see my doctor about this yet, because I will NOT get addicted to sleeping pills. (it's in my genes.) What to do, what to do.
Hey Randy,
ReplyDeleteI have those stretches when I'll wake up in the middle of the night and my brain starts going 240...next thing I know it's 2 hours later and I'm still awake. I've done breathing exercises, tossed and turned trying to find that comfortable position and still can't find that zone. The only thing I can suggest (that sometimes works) is focus on something you love. I try to recreate a softball game I've played in or some other event that was postive. Replay a basketball game in your head. If you focus on the details of the game your mind/body may relax enough to get some sleep. Good luck...
